Johnny Miller, a mentally challenged man in his thirties has the mind of an adolescent. He lives with his mother in California. they have a modest life that is predictable day in and day out; Johnny leaves for work every morning but his job does'nt exist. He takes the bus to Venice Beach eand wonders around all day, dreaming that he is a part of the colorful crowd that surrounds him. His mother pampers his childlike imgination. A youn woman is hired to take care of him and gives him hope that he might be able to turn his dream world into a reality.
